The middle band is where the number starts to mean something
12 tools charge $50–99 a month and publish both a price and a figure. Median MRR is $4,625 at a median entry of $88, and the spread narrows to 45× from 189× one band down.

Median $4,625 · mean $8,983 · spread 45×. Rank correlation between entry price and MRR here is +0.34. Under $25 it is negative — the cheap utilities out-earn the dear ones — and the band below sits at +0.18. This is the point in the index where price and revenue line up most clearly.
5 of 12 charge exactly $99. Inside that one price point, reported MRR runs $3,278 → $32,050 — a 10× gap between products with the same number on the page.
9 of 12 clear $3,000 a month. Of the 3 that do not, 2 charge $59 and report under $1,000 — Lima and Depost AI. Nobody cheap is large in this band, which was not true below $49.

| Band | Tools | Median entry | Median MRR | Spread | Rank corr. |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| ≤ $25 | 33 | $12 | $2,259 | 113× | -0.20 |
| $26–49 | 16 | $35 | $2,702 | 189× | +0.08 |
| $50–99 | 12 | $88 | $4,625 | 45× | +0.34 |
| $100–199 | 7 | $129 | $9,957 | 49× | +0.29 |
| $200–499 | 4 | $324 | $1,650 | 7× | +0.40 |
Read the last column before the middle ones. Under $25 the correlation is negative: the cheap utilities in this index out-earn the dear ones, because a $9 tool can win an entire workflow. It turns positive above that and stays weakly positive — but the last two rows rest on 7 and 4 tools, which is a note, not a finding.
What this page does not tell you
Everything here is self-reported on the founder's dashboard and none of it is audited. A $99 tier can sit under a $990 annual plan or a per-seat multiplier, neither of which shows up in MRR. The band only contains tools that publish both a price and a figure; the ones that quote instead — most of the index above $100 — are invisible here.
If you are pricing at $50–99
- Expect to sit next to everyone else. 5 of 12 picked $99. If you pick it too, the number stops distinguishing you; what separates the 10× inside that price point is scope, not price.
- Check what $99 bundles. Before pricing under $99 on the assumption that buyers here are price-sensitive, work out what the tools at that number include: the ones that stay there and grow are adding scope, not cutting price.
- Compare within your stage. Stages sorts the same tools by the job they do, and Price bands has the full table this page samples from.
Entry price is the cheapest monthly tier on the tool's own pricing page, in USD. MRR is the latest monthly figure the founder published, with the date it was reported. Only tools that publish both appear here. The other two pages in this series: the $40 band and the $100 band.
