What each price band actually earns
3,181 tools in this index carry a dated price. 143 of them have published a revenue figure their founder can be tied to. Only 4 price bands have at least five such figures — the rest are shown with their sample size and a dash instead of a median.
A band qualifies for a median at five measured figures. The middle 50% needs eight. Where a band shows a dash, the sample is too thin to say anything — not that the band is quiet.
| Price band | Tools | With revenue | Median MRR | Middle 50% |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $0–$10 | 991 | 22 | $170 | $100–$4,250 |
| $10–$25 | 842 | 39 | $1,000 | $142–$3,000 |
| $25–$50 | 490 | 24 | $3,000 | $643.08–$13,232.50 |
| $50–$100 | 185 | 12 | $2,650 | $1,000–$17,925 |

| $200+ | 98 | 2 | — | — |
The highest median sits in $25–$50, at $3,000, on 24 reporting tools. That is a statement about the tools that publish revenue, not about the market: build-in-public founders, funded startups and course sellers are over-represented in every sample on this site.
How to read it
The median is computed from founder-published monthly revenue only — a threshold like "hit $10k MRR" counts toward the sample but never toward the median, because a floor is not a measurement. Bands are by entry price, so a tool with three tiers appears once, at the price of its cheapest paid plan.
